Anthony Flew and Alvin Plantinga Review Richard Dawkins

First, an excellent review of Richard Dawkins’ book The God Delusion. What makes this so interesting is that Flew was arguably the flagship atheist for much of his life, especially in intellectual circles.

You can find the review here.

Second, another review by philosopher Alvin Plantinga of Dawkins’ book The Blind Watchmaker. You can find this article here.

While I’m not always in agreement with Plantinga, I must say I find it amusing when a trained philosopher turns his attention to a popular level work such as Dawkins. Plantinga sums up Dawkins logic as follows:

p is not astronomically improbable

Therefore

p.

When you subtract the ad hominem, and look at the logic, it seems there is not much left.

  1. Ha! Plantinga rocks it again. :) (It’s “Antony”, btw).
