A nice article on what happens when youth work through their doubts, and are given answers. You can read about it here.
This is one more reassurance that if we provide thoughtful answers to those who question, we build faith. When we dismiss questions or tell doubters to ‘just believe,’ they tend to walk away and not come back. Find out about that here.
People need to be treated seriously and not dismissed. If we as Christians value people we should treat their questions seriously, because these questions are serious to them. Furthermore, if we don’t know the answer it is far more healthy to admit this. We should be honest enough to admit if we don’t know the answer to a question, rather than try to provide one out of pride. We also0 shouldn’t just tell the person what they want to hear. We risk misleading a seeker away from the truth if we pretend to know more than we do, or if we just want them to “like what they hear”.
