Life in the US is getting increasingly more bizarro. A few years back the US Supreme Court cited foreign law in deciding a case about the US constitution. Today I hear a sound bite from President Obama telling people in South America that “we are all Americans” as if we were all from the same nation. Now I read that a judge in Florida will use Islamic law to decide a case.
Am i missing something, or has our legal system lost its compass?
